This website contains information about the new online fantasy/strategy game Dota 2. It is a new version of the original custom map of Warcraft III; Defense of the Ancients and is being developed by Valve Corporation.

Dota 2 Gameplay

The dota 2 gameplay is based on team coördination and a lot of strategy. For beginners it is a tough job, because there are a lot of skills and controls you have to learn. The view is a so called "top-down" perspective like most of the real time strategy games. Dota 2 is actually not only a real time strategy game. It is eventually a combination of two types of games:

• Real time strategy game

Where you have to think about tactics and strategies and how to work together.

• Role playing game

Where you have to level-up and buy new cool items to upgrade your strength and power. The items and levels will have effect on your damage and defens.

This ultimate combination makes the dota 2 gameplay a perfect fantasy and strategy game.

Dota 2 Tournaments

This game is hardly even finished, while the first big dota 2 tournament with a million dollar of prize money is already won by team NA`VI. This tournament gave the audience the first impressions of the interface, gameplay, graphics and heroes. On our Dota 2 tournament channel you can find a lot of video's from this first tournament. Dota 2 Heroes

Of course there are a lot of dota 2 heroes in this new game. A lot of these heroes are from the older version of Dota 2, but in the future there willl be a lot of diffrent new heroes. Dota 2 Release date

The Dota 2 release date has still not been published, but we know for sure that it will come out in the first months of 2012. First we are waiting on the open beta, but it is still not running. Of course we will provide all the information arround the dota 2 release date, so you will keep informed.
